supplemental environmental projects

As part of a settlement agreement, the US Environmental Protection Agency or NJDEP will sometimes allow a potentially responsible party to contribute to a Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) that positively impacts communities that were affected by the environmentally violations. Click here for more information about SEPs from the EPA.

Our projects featured in the Conservation Exchange make great potential SEP investments. They not only fit the categories that the EPA would find acceptable, but they also are located in geographically diverse areas of the state. Finding a good nexus to the violation is Conservation Resources' specialty.
CRI's oversight ensures that the SEP gets completed in a timely manner to the highest standard. Furthermore, by working with a variety of other non-profit sponsors, CRI ensures that communities truly benefit from Supplemental Environmental Projects.
