PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Great Egg Harbor River Council installed 9 additional Osprey nesting
platforms in the Great Egg Harbor Estuary in 2008 to prepare for the 2009 Osprey
breeding season. The NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife identified the need for
these additional Osprey nesting sites, and they provided GPS locations for the 9
new sites.

To accomplish this goal, the River Council obtained a $2,000 donation to purchase materials and cover costs, and recruited $3,400 in volunteer in-kind labor to build and install these 9 platforms.

FUNDING

The Great Egg Harbor River Council wishes to thank the B.L. England power generating station on the Great Egg Harbor Bay in Beesely's Point, and RC Cape May Holdings, LLC, for donating the funds that made this project possible.
